Become part of the House & Story Monthly Art Drops

House & Story is inviting artists in Fresno and Clovis to submit original artwork for consideration in our new series of curated monthly art drops.

Each drop will introduce a small collection of original artwork to the House & Story community of design lovers, homeowners and emerging collectors. Our goal is to help people discover meaningful art for their homes while giving local artists a thoughtful new platform for sharing and selling their work.

Art Makes a Home Personal

At House & Story, we believe that the most memorable rooms are collected over time. Original art adds personality, emotion and a sense of story that cannot be achieved with mass-produced décor.

Our monthly art drops will bring together carefully selected pieces that complement the layered, collected and expressive House & Story point of view. Every drop will also introduce collectors to the artists behind the work and the stories that inspired it.

What Selected Artists Receive

Artists chosen for a House & Story art drop will receive:

Placement in a curated online collection
Promotion through House & Story's website, email list and social channels
An artist introduction or profile shared with potential collectors
Professional presentation of the selected artwork
Access to a growing audience interested in original art and interior design
The opportunity to be considered for future House & Story art drops and events

There is no fee to apply.

What We Are Looking For

For the first collection, we are considering original:

Paintings
Drawings
Mixed-media artwork
Collage
Textile and fiber art
Small dimensional or sculptural works

Artwork should be original, available for sale and suitable for display in a residential interior. We are especially interested in work with a distinctive point of view, a strong use of color or texture, and a story behind its creation.

Limited-edition work may be considered, but mass-produced décor and reproductions will not be included in the first drop.

Pricing and Commission

Artwork submitted for the first drop should generally have a retail price between $150 and $1,500.

When a piece sells:

The artist receives 60% of the retail selling price
House & Story retains a 40% commission

The House & Story commission supports the curation, marketing, customer communication, payment processing and administration of the sale.

Selected artists will receive a separate participation agreement with the complete sales, payment, delivery and collection terms before committing their work to the drop.

How the Application Works

Artists may submit up to six available pieces for consideration. House & Story may select between one and three pieces from each participating artist.

The application will request:

Your name and contact information
Your website and social-media links
A short artist biography
Information about your creative process
Images of the artwork you would like considered
The title, medium, dimensions and retail price of each piece
Confirmation that selected work can be delivered within Fresno or Clovis

Submitting an application does not guarantee selection. Each collection will be intentionally limited so that the artwork can be presented with care.

Artists who are not selected for the first collection may still be considered for future monthly drops.

Applications open: September 12, 2026
Application deadline: September 22, 2026
Selected artists notified: By September 25, 2026
Selected artwork available for delivery and photography: By October 5, 2026
Collector previews begin: October 12, 2026
First House & Story Art Drop: October 17, 2026
