House & Story was created from a simple belief: the most beautiful homes aren’t designed all at once. They’re collected over time.

They hold pieces from different seasons of life—a vintage find discovered on a weekend away, a fabric you couldn’t stop thinking about, artwork that makes you feel something, a chair worth saving, or a wallpaper bold enough to change the entire room.

We believe in homes with personality.

Homes that mix old with new, traditional with modern, high with low, pattern with color, and beautiful things with the things you simply love.

After more than 25 years in interior design, I kept seeing the same gap.

There were people who wanted professional design guidance but didn’t necessarily need—or want—a traditional full-service interior design experience.

The House & Story Point of View

We love English cottages and London townhouses. Rooms layered with books, art, textiles, antiques, pattern, and color. Beautiful old houses that have evolved over generations rather than being decorated in a single afternoon.

But House & Story isn't about recreating someone else's home.

It's about taking inspiration from all of those places and creating something that belongs entirely to you.

We believe a room can be sophisticated without being serious.

Traditional doesn't have to feel old-fashioned.

Color doesn't have to be overwhelming.

Not everything needs to match.

And not everything in a beautiful room needs to be expensive.

Sometimes the $40 estate-sale table sitting beside the investment sofa is exactly what makes the room interesting.

Meet the Founder

Hi, I’m Dina, founder of House & Story.

I’ve worked in interior design for more than 25 years, but my love of homes has always gone beyond decorating.

I love the stories behind them.

I love discovering the thing no one else has. I love old houses, beautiful gardens, tiny design details, vintage pieces, wallpaper, textiles, books, art, and rooms that feel as though they have slowly evolved over time.

House & Story brings all of those things together.

My hope is to create a different kind of design experience—one that feels welcoming, useful, inspiring, and accessible whether you're building an entire home or simply trying to figure out what color to paint your living room.

Because creating a beautiful home isn't about following every design rule.

It's about creating a place that feels unmistakably yours.
